 Day 1     USA or Canada – Depart by overnight flight to Buenos Aires, Argentina 

 Day 2
Arrive in Buenos Aires, and transfer to your hotel. Afternoon, city tour of Buenos Aire, an impressive city that combines the atmosphere of an old European town with the features of a Latin American capital. In this tour, you will acquire a deep understanding of its characteristics, history, architecture, culture and stories. We will visit the center of the city, San Telmo, La Boca, Puerto Madero and Palermo, with stops in Plaza de Mayo, Caminito and La Recoleta.
Note: check-in is normally after 2 pm. Early check-in may be granted subject to availability (not confirmed). (L)

Day 3     Fiesta Gaucha.
Full-day excursion to an estancia for a typical barbeque lunch and a folklore/gaucho show. Here we will learn about the customs of the Argentinean gauchos and their abilities on horseback that will leave you breathless. The meat will be cooked at the gaucho outdoors on the barbeque. Lunch and drinks included. Afternoon, return to Buenos Aires. Duration: 6 hours. Operates every day except Tuesday. (B-L)

Day 4   at leisure in Buenos Aires
Evening tango show
At night, you will watch an unforgettable tango show performed by the best dancers and singers while enjoying a delicious meal at Esquina Carlos Gardel. This world-famous tango show features the glamour of the 1930s in a romantic and intimate setting. This is the perfect way to leave Buenos Aires, the city of tango. Three-course dinner and Argentinean wine included. (B-D)

Day 5    Morning transfer to the airport to take the flight to Puerto Iguazu. Reception at Puerto Iguazu airport and transfer to your hotel. Afternoon walking tour of Argentina side of the falls. (B)   

Day 6     Morning guided tour to the Brazilian side of the waterfalls. Pick-up at your hotel and transfer to visitor center inside Iguazu National Park. To get from the visitor center to the beginning of the upper path, lower path and Devil’s Throat, you will board a little train that runs from the visitor center to the paths and between each one of them. You may also walk from the visitor center to the upper and lower paths, but you cannot walk to Devil’s Throat because it is located more than 4 kilometers from the visitor center.  (B-L)

Day 7

Transfer to the airport to take flight back to Buenos Aires and connect with the flight to Bariloche. Upon arrival in Bariloche airport, you will be transferred to your hotel. Afternoon free to enjoy Bariloche and its fabulous views of the Andes across the blue waters of Lake Nahuel Huapi. Bariloche and its surrounding area feature evergreen forests, snow-capped peaks, deep blue or transparent green lakes, spring flowers and alpine architecture. (B-D)

 Day 8    Departure to Puerto Pañuelo to embark and sail up to Puerto Cántaros at Lake Nahuel Huapi’s west extremity. Upon arrival, we will hike up to Cántaros Lake through a beautiful Valdivian forest, seeing the different Cántaros Cascade waterfalls. We will then embark again to cross Blest Arm and descend at Puerto Blest, where we will have lunch and visit the National Park Interpretation Center. We will then take the excursion to the amazing Frias Lake. Return to Puerto Pañuelo and transfer to your hotel. (B)

Day 9       Transfer to the airport to take the flight to Buenos Aires. Upon arrival in Buenos Aires, transfer to the international airport for connecting flight back home. (B)                                                  Day 10     Arrive in USA/Canada  and connect to your homebound flight.

Day 5   Morning, transfer to the airport to take the flight to Mendoza. Upon arrival in Mendoza, transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon, we will embark on a private tour so you can get to know the history and culture of the city of Mendoza, founded by Spanish colonists more than four centuries ago. We will go through its tree-lined avenues and its streets bordered by “acequias” (irrigation ditches) and visit the most important sights in the city. Return to the hotel. (B-D)

Day 6   Depart to visit some wineries in the region. We will visit established wineries such as Fabre Mont Mayou. Stop and visit the Lagarde winery and enjoy the beautiful sight of rows of grape vines. We will also visit the thermoelectric power plant, Ingoniero Cipolletti dam, the University of Agricultural Sciences, and La Carrodilla Church. (B-L-D)

Day 7    Travel west and arrive at Potrerillos Uspallata (mountain valley with huge groves and colorful hills with an amazing landscape). Setting off again, we get into the Andean Range. We visit Picheuta historical bridge, tunnels of 'cortaderas,' Polvaredas (rail settlement), Paramillos and Punta de Vacas settlement, source of the Mendoza River, Gendarmerie outpost and Cerro Tupungato. Visit to Penitentes ski center, Puente del Inca with its sulphur and radioactive thermal springs (2700mts above the sea level), Cerro Aconcagua's viewpoint (America's colossus), Villa Fronteriza Las Cuevas: farthest Argentinean settlement, Gendarmerie. Within a short ridge road distance we are at Cristo Redentor (4200 mts high, maximum expression of epic and peace) Argentinean-Chilean border. Head back to Puente del Inca.

Note: If you prefer, we will replace this tour with a full-day visit to other wineries in the area such as San Rafael and San Juan. (B-L)

Day 8   Transfer to airport for return flight. Upon arrival in Buenos Aires, transfer to the international airport for connecting flight back home.

                       El Calafate & Perito Moreno Glacier 

 Quiet Calafate is the only town of any size on Lake Argentina with one paved street. It is best reached by air from Buenos Aires, Bariloche or Ushuaia. In Glacier National Park, an area of extreme natural beauty, you will view the awesome Perito Moreno Glacier, the only glacier in the world that is still growing. Its blue color is attributed to its age (30,000 years), and is so big that it completely blocks two small arms of the lake from their natural outlet through Iceberg Channel.

3 days / 2 nights

Day 1. Arrive in El Calafate. You are met and transferred to your hotel. 

Day 2. Perito Moreno Glacier excursions. Your private tour focuses on spectacular Perito      Moreno Glacier. Walk the footpaths and bridges to get up-close views. (B)
